Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) GEORGE SKENE William 'Bill' George Skene was born to Harry and Anne Mary (Annie) Skene in Fetterangus, Scotland on January 19, 1940. Bill worked in the North of Scotland until immigrating to Canada in 1966. He was employed for many years as a machinist in the CN Rail shops in Transcona. He then moved to Vancouver to work for VIA Rail. Bill is survived by his mother, two sons, three brothers, one sister as well as many other family and friends. Bill took his last train ride on June 8, 2011. Here's tae us and fa's like us. Nae very mony and they're a deid.

I worked with Bill for many years at Transcona Shops and Via Rail. A better workmate and Truer friend could not be found. We had a lot of good times both at work, union meetings or the pub.
