GLADYS MURIEL GODT Passed away peacefully on the evening of June 10, 2011 at the Riverview Health Centre. She is survived by her son, Russell Staines (Karen), and her three grandsons Kalyn (and wife Leah), Kenton and Kurt. Gladys was predeceased by her father, Emil Urech, mother, Katherine Urech and brother, Raymond Urech. Born in Bonnyville, AB and raised in Winnipeg, MB, Gladys also spent 19 years in Hay River, NWT, as an entrepreneur. In 1987, she returned to Winnipeg to play an influential role in her grandsons' lives. Gladys was a free spirit and had a passion for life, she enjoyed dancing, singing, politics and had a great love for spending time with her grandsons. She was very proud of her Swiss heritage and enjoyed her travels to Europe. We will miss your smile and always remember your wonderful stories. Love you now and forever. We would also like to sincerely thank all of the care givers who were responsible for taking care of Gladys in the final years of her life. A private family gathering is planned.
