TOM HEINTZ Peacefully, on Sunday, June 12, 2011, Tom passed away after a short battle with cancer. He is remembered and loved by his wife Cathy and son Matthew. Tom was born October 16, 1953 in Regina, moving to Edmonton when he was six. He attended The University of Alberta after high school obtaining a B.Comm. He joined Touche Ross and got his CA shortly after he and Cathy married in 1978. Tom and Cathy moved to Winnipeg in 1979 when Tom was hired on by Air Canada in their Corporate Accounting Department. He held various positions within AC and was happiest in Treasury where he retired as Director of Treasury Operations in 2008. Tom and Cathy were blessed to have two sons; Jeff in 1982 and Matt in 1986. Tom got involved coaching soccer and hockey as the boys grew but his best times were travelling with his family. Our favourite destinations were Hawaii, Paris, London, Rome, Disneyworld and skiing in the Alberta Rockies. After Jeff died by suicide in 2008, life was not the same for Tom. He is now at peace with his Lord, and with his much loved boy. Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, June 20 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Parish Church, 255 Stafford at Corydon.
