HELEN LORNA PAULSON With sadness we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother on Friday, June 10, 2011 at the Selkirk General Hospital, at the age of 86. Helen was predeceased by her husband Skuli; her son Ron and daughter-in-law Jeannie. Left to mourn her passing are her son Norman; daughter Donna (Eggert); grandchildren Debbie (Chris), Laurie (Ryan), Patty (Walter), Pam, Vic (Michelle); great-grandchildren Kate, Stephanie (Tanner), Devon, Braydon, Sebastian and Skyler as well as numerous extended family members. Helen grew up on Hecla Island, married Skuli and raised their family there. Their years together were filled with many moves and memories. Her hobbies were cards, bingo, the odd trip to the casino and visiting with family and friends. A big part of her life included music and entertainment at home, on stage and radio. Sadly a beautiful voice has gone silent Helen's family would like to thank all her friends and home care staff at the Lions Manor for their friendship and support. In keeping with Helen's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those so wishing may make a donation to the Children's Hospital.
