Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • To Dorothy, Don and Family. Just hearing that my dear golfing friend passed away 3 years ago, I want to send you my condolences to all of you. I met Gil when I went to Golf at Tuxedo in 1989 and was put in his group with his friend Paul. It would be a great day that became many years of friendship on the golf course. Our tee time was 7:18 am, every Saturday morning. Gil got to the course early, had a coffee and toast with marmalade and peanut butter. I would follow suit and meet him and Paul for breakfast. Gil,would watch me golf and I remember his sayings "Quit thinking, and hit the ball". Or if a long ball was hit " you ate your bananas and hit it long, double ugh". My Dad would join us, Leon and then later Don would come back from Germany. We had many great years golfing together. Gil,was wise, friendly, had a good sense of humour, and fun to be with. He would always smile when Don hit a long, booming drive. Gil, stopped golfing due to a balance issue and I sure missed him. We were a great group. Gil May you rest in peace. I know you, Paul and my Dad are in the 4 some in heaven. May you rest in peace. God Bless you my friend. Greg - Posted by: Greg Braun (Golfing Friend) on: Jul 29, 2014
