Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY FROESE Mary was born the tenth child in a family of 12 children to Katharina (Goertzen) and Aron Peter Froese on September 29, 1938. Mary attended Wigham School, followed by two years at Winkler Bible School where she made many lifelong friends. Mary enjoyed working as a live-in Nanny in her younger years and housekeeping for a few select friends. In later years she worked at the Industrial Workshop and then became a regular client at Community Ventures where she spent 22 years, retiring in 2009. Mary's social life became very rewarding thanks to her participating in the Epic Opportunities (Hope Centre). After a courageous battle with cancer she passed away with her devoted and loving staff and family at her bedside on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at Grace Hospital She leaves to mourn her death three sisters, Annie Enns, Kay Froese, Margaret Kasak; five brothers, John, David, Cornie, Aron and George; six sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law, and a large extended family. She was predeceased by two brothers, one sister, one nephew and one niece. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Portage Avenue Church, 1420 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg with viewing prior to the service. Interment to follow in the Oakville Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Visitation on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street. Donations in Mary's memory may be made to the Chapel Fund, Grace General Hospital Foundation, 300 Booth Drive, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3J 3M7.
