JOSEPH (JOE) BENNY CHARTRAND May 30, 1951 - June 19, 2011 We announce with great sadness and heavy hearts the sudden passing of our beloved Joe on Sunday, June 19, 2011 in Winnipeg at the age of 60 years. Joe will be dearly remembered and missed by his sons Sean (Renae), Tyson (Iryn), Christopher and their mother Pam Kehler; granddaughter Kara; as well as by his very large family including his mother Mary (George) West; siblings, Connie (Brian) MacCulloch, Ruby (Alex) Legere, Brian Chartrand, Peter Chartrand, Susan (David) Main, Lawrence Chartrand, Sandra (Larry) Tanasiciuk, Denise (Steve) Meyer, and Leo Chartrand; 39 nephews; nieces; numerous great-nephews; great-nieces; Aunties, Uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Evelyn Sutherland; paternal grandparents, Alexander and Marie Louise Chartrand; father Bernard Barney Chartrand, and elder brother Clarence at birth. Joe will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have enjoyed his company, music, and laughter. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Paul The Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2400 Portage Avenue, with Rev. Fr. José Medeiros, presiding. The family would like to express a special thank you to the Winnipeg Fire, Ambulance and Police Department.
