Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDNA MCLAREN August 20, 1921 - June 18, 2011 It is with sadness that the family of Edna McLaren announce her passing in Calgary, AB on Saturday, June 18, 2011, after a brief illness. Edna was born in Winnipeg, MB and moved to Calgary, AB in 2001. For many years she was affiliated with the Canadian Order of Foresters where she served in many positions including the posts of President and Past President and worked tirelessly on their behalf. Edna enjoyed bowling, curling and camping, she loved dancing and had a great thirst for knowledge. Edna will be dearly missed by son Irving (Brenda) Latta and daughter Elinor Jane Collison . She is also survived by grandchildren Dana (Peggy) Collison; Deena Latta and Douglas Latta, six great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Brandon, Dylan, Brittney, Damon and Chaz, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Edna was predeceased by her parents Gustav and Amelia Howk, husbands Mackie Barr McLaren and Victor Bryan Latta, sisters Elsie (Alf) Harbridge, Hattie (Ernest) Pluchinskie, Alma (Sid) Latta and brother Art Latta. Relatives and friends are invited to a Graveside Service to be held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens (Good Samaritan) on Tuesday August 9, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.
