NELLIE GMITEREK (nee ROGOCKI) Peacefully on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 Nellie passed away at the Beausejour Hospital at the age of 87 years. Left to cherish Nellie's memory are her sons Richard (Joyce), Melvin (Linda); grandchildren Jordan (Shauna), Keri, Brady, Kiley, Melissa (Jeremy), Ashley and great-granddaughter, Raina. She was predeceased by her husband Anton and her parents Antonia and Alex. Nellie was born on July 23, 1923 in Allegra, Manitoba. She and Anton were married on November 8, 1947 and made Beausejour their home. They spent 50 loving years together. As a devoted wife and mother, Nellie's happiness and pride centered on her family. She was a long time member of the Catholic Women's League of St. Mary's Church. She valued the friendships made with her church ladies . Nellie also enjoyed playing cards, gardening, perogy making and watching The Barker Show . Funeral Liturgy will be Celebrated on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Beausejour, MB with Rev. Fr. Owen Steeves, presiding. The family wishes to thank Dr. F. Zeiler and a special thank you to the staff of the Beausejour Hospital. They were gentle, compassionate and loving and made her last days peaceful. From all of us and Nellie we can't express our gratitude enough. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Beausejour Hospital T.V. Fund.
