Date of Passing: Jun 22, 2011
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLYNN LUCY ANN CHAMBERS It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lynn Chambers at the Grace Hospice on June 22, 2011. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Holly, her sisters Carol Magalas (Bill) and Diane Firstenburg (Bruce), her brothers Jack Hilderman (Brenda) and Wade (Tracey), and numerous nephews and nieces. Lynn was predeceased by her daughter Kim and her parents Jack and Muriel Hilderman. Lynn was raised in the West Kildonan area of Winnipeg, graduating from Garden City Collegiate and going on to Teacher Training at Red River College for Commercial High School. She taught for several years before beginning a family. Her greatest joy was raising her two daughters, Holly and Kim. She had many creative gifts and a fun spirit which she loved to share with others, especially children. She will be greatly missed by her many friends who stood with her during her lengthy illness. The family would like to thank Dr. Fatoye and staff at the Seven Oaks General Hospital Oncology Department for their care and understanding over the last two years. Lynn found great peace in her last months at the Grace Hospice due to the very special staff there. She was truly blessed in this place. A memorial service will be held at Atlantic-Garden City United Church at Atlantic Avenue and Arlington Street on Monday, June 27 at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Mary Best officiating. If friends so desire, donations may be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society in Lynn's memory.
