HELENE MARIA CARRIERE (nee MUTTART) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helene Maria Carriere on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Left to cherish Helene's memory is her loving husband, Marcel; beloved children, Nicole (Walter) Silicz, and Nicolaus (Louise) Haar; grandchildren, Michael, Justin; Stephen (Tess), Peter (Cara); great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Arianna, Kohen, Tyla, Isabella, Nixon and Macaria. Her children meant the world to her; and she was a proud and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in St. John Brebeuf Roman Catholic Church, 1707 John Brebeuf Place, with Rev. Fr. Mark Tarrant, presiding. A private family interment will follow. Thank you to Dr. R. Alhuwalia for his compassionate care of our mother, as well as the nurses and doctors of the Victoria and St. Boniface hospitals. We would also like to thank our mother's friends and the staff at Lindenwood Terrace for their friendship and care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
