JULIA MADELINE CAMPBELL The family of Julia announce her passing on June 20, 2011 in Winnipeg. Julia was proud of her extended family of 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren plus one on the way and three great-great-grandchildren. Julia was predeceased by her husband Wilford, her sons Lowell, Eric and Mervyn as well as her granddaughter Debbie and grandson Dayne. She leaves to mourn her son Lyndon, daughter-in-law Linda - Ben, Curt and Lucas; daughter-in-law Marlene - Cheryl, Daron and Shauna; daughter-in-law Sheila - Tim, Clint, Dan and Laura; daughter-in-law Faye - Jodie and Shawn. Julia was born on April 3, 1916 in St. Andrews, NB. The family moved to Winnipeg in 1944, lived in Sidney, BC between 1951 and 1954 and returned to Winnipeg in 1954. She and her husband moved to Vancouver in 1966 where she resided until 1985 and then moved back to Winnipeg to be with family. Julia was employed full time with various organizations from 1951 to 1981 at a time when that was unusual for a wife and mother. She retired from the Federal Government in Vancouver in 1981. She had been an active member of the St. Stephen St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and a member of the Women's Guild in Vancouver serving as Treasurer of the guild for two terms. Mom taught Sunday School after her retirement and volunteered for The Canadian Red Cross Blood Donor Clinic, Evergreen Lodge, St. Andrews St. Stephen Presbyterian Church, Lions Gate Hospital and later The Manitoba Museum of Man and Nature. There will be a memorial service for Julia at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 28 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street. In lieu of flowers, if desired, it is suggested that a contribution be made to a charity of one's choice. 843 Sherbrook Street, 774-7474.
