JEAN (JOHN) LOUIS FRANCOIS MAJOR On June 20, 2011, at Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, at age 56, surrounded by family, John peacefully crossed over to eternal rest. His battle with liver disease was short and difficult. He was predeceased by his loving guardian and grandmother Celine Major (nee Basset) of St. Claude, MB, as well as his birth mother Lorraine Gingrich (nee Major). To respect John's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. Thanks to doctors and nurses at HSC MICU, GD5 and B3, along with Ed Cantor and staff at Cantor's Grocery and Linda Cooley and staff at JC Foods. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory can be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation, Manitoba Chapter, 210-375 York Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J3.
