CORNELIUS (NEAL) SAWATZKY 1941 - 2011 After a brief illness; Neal passed away on April 6, 2011 at the Surrey Memorial Hospital in Surrey, BC. Neal was born on March 4, 1941 in Winkler, MB, the son of David and Annie Sawatzky of Winnipeg, MB. Neal was predeceased in death by his parents, sister, Ann Gerbrandt and Jake, brother, David Sawatzky, brother, Jake Sawatzky and sister, Elizabeth and Glen Bell. Surviving to mourn Neal's death and cherish many fond memories are his sisters, Mary Savoy (Mike Pichlyk), sister, Martha Penner (Leo Chamberland), brother, Hank (Henry) Sawatzky (Diane), his son, Stephen Sawatzky and Stephen's mother Joanne Hill. He also leaves two sisters-in-law, Lillian Sawatzky (Dave) and Marguerite Sawatzky (Jake) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Neal was a mechanic most of his life. He prided himself on his vast mechanic knowledge. Neal was able to talk to anyone and made friends easily especially if the topic was vehicle related. He enjoyed the challenge of assisting people with other duties and found improvising easy. Neal will always be remembered for his problem solving skills in mechanics.
