WALTER JOSEPH FEDORCHUK Walter passed away peacefully Thursday, April 7, 2011 at the Three Hills Hospital - Long Term Care Unit. He was born on July 28, 1919 in Merridale, MB the son of Onufrey and Pearl (Slusar) Fedorchuk. Walter was predeceased by his second wife Dorothea (Scheller) Fedorchuk on July 3, 2009. He was also predeceased by his parents, sister Mary (Fedorchuk) Trowski and Mike of Winnipeg, brother Roy Fedorchuk and Marg of Vernon, BC, his brothers, Mike Midzain and Ruth of Vancouver, BC, and Peter Midzain of Toronto, ON, brothers-in-law Lou Sauve of Toronto and Johnny Wojcik of Winnipeg. Surviving to mourn Walter's death and cherish many fond memories are his loving sisters Anne Sauve of Toronto, Nellie Wojcik of Winnipeg and sister-in-law Marie Mizdain of Toronto and their families. He also leaves his first wife June Livingstone, mother of their three daughters Diane (Hank) Sawatzky of Claresholm, AB, Linda Osbourne of Three Hills, AB, Donna (Don) Needham of Calgary, AB, and step-daughter Sherrin (Doug) Markiewich of Winnipeg and their families. He leaves seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended families. Walter owned a store in Silverwood, MB for some years. Later he was a grader operator for the R.M. of Shell River in Manitoba. He moved to Winnipeg and retired from the Fort Richmond Shopping Mall where he prided his duties as a Superintendent Manager. In 1981 Walter became a member of the Age and Opportunity Volunteer Group, Age and Opportunity Smith Street Choir, The Creative Retirement's Philharmonic Band and the Senior's Melody Band. Walter and Dorothy had many fun times sharing their love of music and dancing. Walter will always be remembered for his great sense of humour, generosity, love and devotion to his family and friends. Memorial service will be held June 30, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB. Interment and reception will follow.
