FLORENCE ROBERTA LINDAL Peacefully, after a courageous battle of cancer, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Florence Lindal, on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at the Grace Hospital. Florence will be sadly missed, and is survived by her husband Gerald; children, Brian and Laura; brother Bernie (Linda) Johnston; along with numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Herb and Muriel Johnston; sister June; and nephew Darryl. Born in Winnipeg, on May 28, 1944, Florence grew up in the St. James area where she met her husband Gerald of 46 years of marriage. As a young woman she worked at Eaton's department store in the clothing department before becoming a longtime employee at the Assiniboine Dental Group where she cherished many friendships. Among many things, Florence loved to dance, enjoyed golfing, and was always a number one fan in the crowd at Brian and Laura's sporting activities. Everyone who knew Florence loved her upbeat personality, and her contagious laugh could put a smile on anyone's face. On Thursday, June 30, 2011 Florence's Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood Drive. We would like to extend a special thank-you to Dr. Harris and all of the nurses at the Grace Hospital on the 5th floor.
