Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRED KOSACK 1925 - 2011 Peacefully, on June 25, 2011, Fred Kosack, beloved husband of Stella, passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital. Born in Libau, MB on October 26, 1925, Fred is survived by Stella, his loving wife of 60 years, sons Sidney (Curin) and Dale and grandchildren Kyle and Krista (Ed), one sister and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Rodney in 1955, his parents William and Anastasia and nine brothers and two sisters. Fred served in the Canadian Army from 1943 to 1945. Following his marriage to Stella Koshyk in 1951 he operated a grain farm in the Libau area until 2010. Over the years, Fred also worked at various seasonal jobs related to fishing activities on Lake Winnipeg, carpentry and fuel delivery. Fred enjoyed playing with the Libau baseball team and loved to dance at social functions. He was not one to miss an opportunity to show his dancing skills. He especially enjoyed visits by his children and grandchildren with their many pets. Fred and Stella's travels included visiting relatives in Ukraine as well as trips across Canada, USA and Mexico. Special thanks to Dr. Armstrong and Seven Oaks Hospital staff for their care and compassion. In accordance with Fred's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service and interment will take place at a later date.
