I met Cora through CancerCare Manitoba. She knitted blankets for the other CancerCare patients. When my grandpa was getting his chemo, we received a blanket from Cora. There was an email address to reach her and we started communicating through email ever since. I have never met Cora in person but I am grateful for the friendship that we had. She was a very nice lady who kept telling me that there are many people praying for her and for my grandpa. When my grandpa passed away, she was there for me to comfort me and to pray for my family. I always ask her how she was doing, but she would always respond that she's doing great and getting better. We haven't been in touch since then. I was assuming that everything is fine. Last year, around summer time, I suddenly remembered Cora. I emailed her asking her how she was doing and I didn't get any response. I was worreid because the email that I sent for her was sent back to me. I was worried because the email says that Cora's email does not exist. Now I found out why. I finally had the courage to search for her name on this website. I was so scared to find out that she's gone. Cora, my dear friend I miss our email conversation. May you rest in peace. To Cora's family, my sincere condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Thank you for everything Cora! - Posted by: Lizell () on: Mar 26, 2012
