Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERMAINE VAN DEN BUSSCHE (nee LAURENDEAU) May 27, 1934 June 29, 2011 Germaine passed away at the Health Science Centre on the evening of June 29, 2011 surrounded by family. Germaine leaves behind her six children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Leo (Sue); Juliette (Roland) Ritchot; Lucie; Roger (Cindy); John (Frances); Guy (Carol), her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Karley, Katelyn; Jeannine (Craig), Dawn (Darren) Morgan, Adam, Brian; John, (Laura) Caleb Orrin, Nathan (Richelle); Nigel (Tracy) Katelyn, Kelsey, Kory, Jasmine, Justice, Alicia Zoƫ, Colby; Noah, Amanda. Germaine also leaves to mourn her siblings: Irene (Camille) Ledoyen, Yvonne Cinq-Mars, Leon (Lucie) Laurendeau, Lucien (Rita) Laurendeau, Henriette (John) Verrier, Laurette (Paul) Champagne, Paul (Denise) Laurendeau, Yolande (Ron) Tallaire, Ida (Ray) Bibeau, Emile (Nancy) Laurendeau, Marcel (Gudrun) Laurendeau, Gilbert (Diane) Laurendeau, and numerous nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law Elza Van Den Bussche. Germaine was predeceased by her husband Marcel, her mother Rita, her father Adelard, her parents-in-law Camiel and Leonie Van Den Bussche as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. Germaine was born in Otterburne on May 27, 1934. She attended school in Otterburne, Ft. Alexander and then St. Norbert. She worked as a municipal clerk at the R.M of Ritchot in St. Adolphe for 15 years until she took ill and encountered her battle with leukemia. After her recovery she became very active and pursued her many interests. She tried her hand at many different crafts including cake decorating, painting, and wool crafts. She had a passion for genealogy and was very involved in the publication of family history books. The family would like to thank the staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Germaine's memory to Canadian Diabetes, Cancer Care or Heart Stroke. In keeping with Germaine's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be held on Monday, July 4 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Adolphe Roman Catholic Church, St. Adolphe, MB.
