KENNETH WILLIAM EPPLER Peacefully, in his sleep after a brief illness, it is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Ken on Monday, June 27, 2011 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 80 years, one month and one day before his 81st birthday. Ken is survived by his loving wife Pat; daughter Donna-Lynn Beeby; sons Donald and Kenneth (Heather); grandsons Kristin Beeby and Kyle Eppler; great-granddaughter Milla-Rae. Ken was predeceased by his parents Ed and Molly; his two brothers Ralph (Audrey) and Robert (Janice). Ken was born and grew up in the north end of Winnipeg. Ken was employed by Manitoba Telephone System from 1948-1995. He loved camping, boating fishing and vacations at Lake of the Woods. Ten-pin bowling was his greatest pleasure of all, which he pursued throughout his adult life. Ken's other hobby was carpentry combined with cement jobs and tile when required. Ken also played junior baseball. Ken was very fond of inlaid wood projects (Intarsia) where he had a gallery of fish patterns and many others with one being a golden lab that still has not been stained. We will never forget the duct tape car. Ken brought so many laughs and embarrassments. Thank you to all the staff in the palliative care ward. In lieu of flowers, donations to CancerCare Manitoba in Ken's memory would be greatly appreciated. In keeping with Ken's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. • I think of you everyday old man. Not a day goes by that I don't think about all the good you instilled in me while I was growing up. I miss you like you wouldn't believe. - Posted by: Kris (Grandson) on: Jan 04, 2013
