DARLENE MORGAN Peacefully, in her sleep, on June 30, 2011, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease, Darlene Morgan passed away. She was predeceased by Robert Gillies and will be lovingly remembered by her husband Mark Morgan; daughters, Roberta Gillies, Jodi Labossiere, Patricia McNeill (Colin); and grandchildren, Kevin, Kate-Lynn, Sean, Ellowyn and Mannix. Darlene was born in Brandon, Manitoba to Felix and Dorothy Dubbin. She was the oldest of three children, Diane Campbell and Del-Keith Dubbin. She attended St. Michael's Academy where she excelled in playing the piano. She enjoyed figure skating and did fashion modelling for stores like the Bay, etc. She was the lady who implemented the Graduation Fashion Show fundraiser for high schools, with overwhelming success. She played and taught piano, skated with the Brandon Figure skating club and judged with the Manitoba Figure Skating Association. She helped with the Girl Guides and various other groups, especially where her daughters where involved. Darlene completed many business courses and acted as head secretary in the St. James School Division, finally retiring from Westwood Collegiate, 10 years ago. Anyone who had the opportunity to know Darlene knew of her love for life and fantastic sense of humour. Darlene, you were an amazing lady. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Blessed John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, 3390 Portage Avenue at Rouge Road.
