WILLIAM (BILL) FRITZ Peacefully, after a short battle with leukemia, William (Bill) Fritz of Dominion City, passed away surrounded by his family's love on June 30, 2011. Bill was born in Germany in 1932. As a young man, he came to Canada in 1952 to work on his cousin's farm (Elsie Huff) in Dominion City. Later he worked as a caterpillar operator for the municipality of Franklin until his retirement. Bill is survived by one brother Emil and family of Germany, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews who came often to visit him in Canada. He also leaves to cherish his memory the Perry family of Colorado, his Canadian family: goddaughter Tannis Turner (Peter Swanson) their children: Sophie and Maxwell; cousin Rod (Connie) Huff and their children, Kristin and Kurt; and cousin Jane (Joseph) Vandal. He will be sadly missed by the Solnes, Popp and Turner families; as well as Bill Bultz and his family, with whom he shared a wonderful friendship. Uncle Bill will be lovingly remembered for his many acts of kindness to his family and friends, as well as his deep love for all of us. The funeral service will held Tuesday, July 5, 2011, from the Zion Lutheran Church, Friedensthal, Manitoba at 11:00 a.m. with burial in the Dominion City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Bill to the Zion Lutheran Church (P.O. Box 419, Emerson, MB R0A 0L0). Sincere gratitude to all for their acts of kindness, prayers, love and support. Arrangements entrusted to WIEBE FUNERAL HOME (ALTONA) LTD. 204-324-5404
