Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA ZUBATY April 6, 1916 - June 30, 2011 Anna Zubaty passed away peacefully at Holy Family Home at 95 years of age. Predeceased by her beloved husband Mykola in 2007, Anna is survived by niece, Alexandra (Oksana) Hawryliuk and her family in Ukraine. Born on April 6, 1916 in the village of Perewoloczna, Ukraine, Anna immigrated to Canada in 1950. She married Mykola on November 8, 1958. The couple worked hard and enjoyed many travels - winters in Texas, a trip to the Holy Land and numerous visits to Ukraine. Anna was passionately involved in and was generously supportive of various Ukrainian organizations including Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, Institute Prosvita, Ukrainian Canadian Congress and the youth groups, PLAST and SUM. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 5 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, also at the cathedral with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Mitrat M. Buyachok, Fr. I. Dziadyk, OSBM, Protodeacon M. Woroby and Rev. Deacon S. Tyrawski officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sts.
