Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOTTO LUECK November 30, 1915 - July 2, 2011 On July 2, 2011 our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather went home to be with his Lord and Savior. Otto was predeceased by his loving wife Ruth, daughter Eileen Henschell, parents Emaneul and Tusilda Lueck, brother(s) Bob, Hugh and Ervin Lueck. Remaining to cherish his memory forever is daughter Wendy (Hermann), son-in-law Robin, grandchildren, Kevin (Coleen), Brent (Rhonda), Christopher (Nancy), Lorelei (Heath), Candyce (John) and Raelene; great grandchildren Brianna, Zachary, Bethany, Cole, Jared, Kassandra, Kataryna, Taylor, Gunther, Gage and Gavin. Otto was born in Rudnja, Russia. He came to Canada with his parents in 1926. They settled in Lockwood, Saskatchewan on a farm. Otto came to Manitoba in 1937 and worked in the bush and then Otto and a partner owned a garage in River Hills, MB. Otto served in the medic corp. in the army from 1942-1945. On July 22, 1944 Otto married the love of his life Ruth Kuhn. In 1950 Otto began working for Manitoba Hydro and retired from Hydro in 1980. He loved to travel and made yearly trips to Radium Hot Springs. In 2001, Otto and Ruth made the decision to move to a 55+ in Beausejour. After failing health he moved to East Gate but was still near his wife as she moved to Stony Plains. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour with Pastor Greg Gaensler officiating. A luncheon will follow the service and interment will take place in the Whiteshell Baptist Cemetery. Special thanks for all the staff at East Gate for being so kind in my dad's last days. Thanks to Beausejour Hospital, and especially Mary Jane, for their/her loving and compassionate care.
