Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTELLA PRZYBYLA Stella passed away on July 2, 2011, at St. Joseph's Auxiliary Hospital in Edmonton, more than two years after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. Stella, a devout Roman Catholic, was born in the small village of Typin in southeast Poland on February 28, 1932. She was predeceased by her parents Jan and Katarzyna Wrobel, her sister Helena, and her brother Eugeniusz. Stella is survived by her older sister Feliksa, living in Poland. Stella moved to Canada in 1978, first to Dauphin, MB, and the following year to Winnipeg where she worked in the garment industry. After she retired, Stella moved to Edmonton in 1998 to be near her family. In her later years, she loved flower gardening and cooking Polish dishes for relatives and friends. She was close to her daughter, Alina, her son, Mariusz (Mario), daughter-in-law, Julia, and her five grandchildren - John, Conrad, Cathy (and Cathy's fiancé, Jeff), and Roman and Richard. She also carried a special place in her heart for the four-legged members of the extended family and the dog and cats loved her back, sensing she was a true friend. Stella was an excellent seamstress and a truly elegant dresser. We will remember her for all these things. And we will always miss her. A visitation will be held on July 7, 2011 between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the Westlawn Funeral Chapel, 16310 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton, AB. The funeral service will be held for Stella at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 8 at Annunciation Catholic Church, 9420 - 163 St., Edmonton. The family wishes to thank the staff of the palliative unit at St. Joseph's hospital for their compassionate care.
