JOAN (BLANCHE) MCQUEEN January 26, 1933 - June 26, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joan McQueen on June 26, 2011 in Salem, Oregon. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 37 years, James; her son Robert Boyce (Roselyn); daughter DeLynn Boyce (Diane); stepson Steve McQueen (Cheryl), and grandchildren, Christian, Haley, Aidan and Brody. Joan was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. While still healthy, she was quite a seamstress, making lovely creations for her grandchildren. She had a love of intelligent conversation and enjoyed her talks with Brody on her knee. She admired Aidan's drawing and loving hugs and she encouraged and applauded Haley's accomplishments. Joan was an excellent listener, patient and kind. She was supportive of her children and loved them unconditionally. At Joan's request, she has been cremated and no formal service will be held. Joan believed in the power of prayer and is now in God's extra special care.
