ELIZABETH SMITH With her family at her side, on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 Elizabeth Smith aged 83 years, formerly of Woodlands, MB passed away at Red River Place Personal Care Home, Selkirk. Survived by children and grandchildren: Vern (Patricia), Debbie, Terrance, Kevin and Brian; Ken (Lynne), Tracy (Todd) and Chad (Jenna); Wayne (Shirley); Roy (Patty), Neal (Christy), Judy, and Randy (Alysha); also survived by eight great-grandchildren and many family and friends. Predeceased by her husband Eldon Smith on January 7, 1999; siblings Abe Wieler, John Wieler, Peter Wieler and Helen Broadfoot. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 433 Main St., Stonewall. Pastor Arnold Voth will officiate. Interment will take place at Meadow Lea Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.

I am an artist/musician. It is now 2015. Out of all my old cassettes, I found a 1998 recording of an old dance gathering with my Grandmother's name on it. It features live music of guitar, piano,fiddle dances (waltz's). They went out dancing every Friday night. The music is my favorite memory. - Posted by: Kevin Smith (Grandson) on: Nov 26, 2015
