KATHERINE ROJESKI With her family by her side on Wednesday, July 7, 2011, Katherine passed away at the age of 98 years, at the Gimli Community Health Centre. Katherine was predeceased by her husband Martin in 1991; daughter Florence in 2001; sisters Molly, Jessie, Ruth and Elizabeth; brothers John, Stanley and Frank; daughter-in-law Marilyn and son-in-law Donald. Katherine is survived by her daughter Lillian; sons Ken and John (Audrey); grandchildren Darlene, Karen, Debbie, Shannon, Deryl, Kalvin, Twila, Charlotte, Glenn, Kevin, Darrell, Kim and Shelley, along with 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Katherine grew up in Gimli where she met and married Martin. Katherine worked hard on the farm where they raised cattle and grew grain. She always had a large garden and would can preserve vegetables and fruit for her family's use in the winter. Throughout her life Katherine enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with family. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 13 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Gimli, MB, with Fr. Wayne Morrissey officiating. The viewing will be held at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Sts. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Katherine may be made to St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Gimli, MB.
