GENOVEFFA CUDA It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother on July 9, 2011 at Golden Links Lodge at the age of 84. Mom faced many struggles and challenges since her accident and triumphed over each obstacle to the amazement of all. Waiting with open arms to greet Mom on her eternal journey are her mother and father, her husband Fortunato, her sister Ninna, her son-in-law Valentino as well as numerous family members who were very dear to her. Left to cherish Mom's memory are her three daughters Maria Stabene, Rose (Rick) Male, Pina (Frank) Conci; seven grandchildren Raffaella (Joe), Angela (Fabrizio), Jennie (Angelo), Vicki (Tom), James, Lorisa and Mikayla; brother Mario (Rosaria) Trunzo, sister Grazia (Joe) Colosimo, brothers-in-law Bruno (Lina) Cuda, Joe (Rita) Cuda, sister-in-law Norina as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews both in Winnipeg, Italy, Argentina and the United States. Mom was the heart and soul of the family. Her most treasured moments were spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who meant the world to her. She was the ultimate example of sacrifice and unconditional love. Her knowledge and wisdom was witnessed in every facet of her life. Whether she was cooking, sewing or gardening her passion and perseverance always came through. She truly had hands of gold. She was a fiesty little lady with incredible determin-ation and strength that has left a lasting impression on all of us. Viewing will be on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. in the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 11:00 a.m. Entombment in Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum, 1501 Waverley St. Active pallbearers will be Joe Fiorentino, Fabrizio Franz, Angelo Paletta, Tom Flynn, James Male and Angelo Stabene. The family would like to thank all the staff at Golden Links Lodge for their compassion, kindness and support.
