GRETA LOHR Greta Lohr, formerly of Morris, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 7, 2011, at the age of 89 years, in Vernon, BC. Greta was predeceased by her husband Ed, daughter Jo-Ann, sisters Edith Mitchell, Lena Stevenson, Evy Taetz, and her parents. She is survived by her daughter Betty (Tim), son Bill (Angie), Suzanne, Trish, Kathryn, Paul, Michael and families, brother Hartley Schwark, and sister Irene Schwark. Greta spent many hours tending her yard and garden, winning awards and supplying many neighbours with the surplus of vegetables from her garden. She and Ed took many trips picking berries and then tried to find someone that could use them. After retiring from the farm, they enjoyed many trips to Hong Kong, Thailand, Hawaii, and their favourite for many years, Yuma, Arizona. Greta spent the last few years in Vernon to be with Betty and Bill. She will be missed, but is now home with her true love Ed. The memorial service will be held at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Morris on Thursday, July 14 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in the Morris Cemetery will take place prior to the service.
