Left to cherish Norman's memory are his children: Glenn (Linda), Debora (David) Breen, Corinne, Calvin (Lisa), Murray (Georgia); grandchildren: Kyle, Ryan, Kevin, Blair, William, Cody, Ashley and Autumn; brother Ernie (Mona); sisters: Betty (Matt), Nancy (George); sisters-in-law: June, Carole (Steven), Gloria (Grant), Rose and Carolyn; brothers-in-law: Ed, Len (Eve), Lawrence, Richard (Faye), Douglas, Don, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Norman born January 5, 1934. He spent his early years growing up in Komarno, MB where he met his loving wife. Retirement years were enjoyed travelling with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors at the cottage in Gimli, and watching his grandchildren's sports. While only learning of his cancer ten days after his wife's diagnosis, Norman spent precious time in a bed next to her and was happy surrounded by loving family and friends. We were blessed with having Norman as a father, brother, grandpa, and friend. We are left with nothing but fond memories from the cabin in Gimli where he loved to spend the days fixing his toys, going to the beach, and raising his children and grandchildren with his loving wife. We were very blessed to have spent the last few weeks enjoying time at the cottage where he loved to relax. The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to family and friends during this time. Thank you to the Health Sciences Centre A4 and Riverview Health Centre for their care and compassion. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in Blessed John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, 3390 Portage Avenue at Rouge Road with Rev Fr. Gerald Langevin, as celebrant. 586-8044
