AGNES (WEIDMAN) SCHROF It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Agnes Schrof, at the age of 88, at her home on Saturday, July 9, 2011, with family present. Agnes was the eldest child of Martha Mangan/Bard/Weidman and Virgil Bard. Born in Carman, she came as a very young child with her sister Evelyn and brother Kenneth to Starbuck. After her mother and Adam Weidman were married, Agnes became step sister to Lois (Allinson), Herb, Mae (Denby/Smeulders) and Raymond. Agnes was especially fond of Grandma Weidman. On February 27, 1945, Agnes married Walter Carl Schrof; together they enjoyed over fifty years of marriage until Walter's death in 1998. Agnes is predeceased by her parents, her husband Walter Schrof, their first born infant, two sisters and one brother. She is survived by her sons and their families. The family wishes to thank MacDonald Ambulance and Headingley RCMP for their compassion. A private funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Starbuck United or Trinity Lutheran Churches, or a charity of your choice.
