EDNA LAMOUREUX July 12, 2011 It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our friend , mother, grandmother, great and great-great-grandmother. Edna peacefully passed away in Trenton Memorial Hospital in Ontario, surrounded by family, she was 87 years old. Predeceased by her loving husband Albert, her sister Margaret Hamlin and brother Jack McPherson. Survived by family members Donna Lenz (Rick) and Betty O'Neill. Loving mother of Jim Lamoureux (Barb), Rose Bland (Wayne) and Linda Edwards (Ron), grandchildren Lisa (Gregg), Robynne (Rodney), Michelle (Clem), John (Amanda and Frenchie), Lori (Ray), Debbie (Gary), great-grandchildren Brendan, Curtis, Justin, Ben, Meagan, Alex, Ben and great-great-grandchild Ty; cousin Hal Gardner (Betty) and long time friend Tony Yuskin. Edna will always be remembered for her hard work ethic, honesty, devotion to family and her charisma. Her most favourite times with family were spent during special occasions at the Ponderasa in Sandridge where she called home. She spent over 30 summers there. Her sense of humour, wit and many quotes of life will be reminisced by many. Edna impacted the lives of those she met and conversation came with ease with anyone, anywhere. She was an avid reader and would love a good political debate. Bingo was an outing she thoroughly enjoyed for the comradery. She always loved the challenge and strategy for a good scrabble game. Two of her favourite quotes: Don't walk in front of me I may not follow, don't walk behind me I may not lead, just walk beside me and be my friend. Accept the things to which fate binds you, and love the people with whom fate brings you together, but do so with all your heart. In memory, for those who wish to do so, donations to the Grace Hospital, 300 Booth Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3J 3M7 would be appreciated. A celebration of her life will take place in Inwood, Manitoba at the Lutheran Hall on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.

Gran was a true friend who taught me alot of lessons in life and created many cherished memories. Specific are from our times at the Ponderosa (her home she was so proud of), 544 and recent are from sitting with her "shooting the breeze" and playing a game of scrabble at the kitchen table in Inwood. My life was better with Gran in it and I will truly miss her physical presence. Thank you Gran for being you, love always your friend and grand-daughter Lori Bland "little girl" - Posted by: Lori Bland (Family) on: Jul 15, 2011
