Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCECIL JOHN GALLOP January 16, 1937 July 13, 2011 After a few years of declining health, beloved husband of Verna Gallop (Novakowski), two days shy of their 50th Wedding Anniversary. He went peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at Victoria General Hospital. Remaining to forever cherish Cecil's memory are his wife Verna; daughters Joyce (Brian) Netzel, Judy (Mark) Okopski, Brenda (Jason) Stinson and Kathy (Dwayne) Clinton; brother Cliff (Marge) Gallop; sister Margaret (Peter) Ediger; sisters-in-law Clara (Wayne) Danard, and Leona; grandchildren, Ryan, Kristy, Michelle, Jennifer, Bradley, Rickey, James, Brodie and Jazmin; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Rylan and Nichole; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Bob, Jimmy and Glen; brothers-in-law Ray and Ron; and sister-in-law Jeannie. Cecil grew up in and around Winnipeg; he started his career with CAA Manitoba back in 1966 and worked 30 years before retiring in 1996. He was a lifetime Member with the Fort Garry Legion # 90. On Tuesday, July 19, 2011 Cecil's Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. in the Fort Garry Legion # 90, 1125 Pembina Hwy @ Windermere. A private Interment will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Dr. Lowden and the caring staff at the Victoria Hospital, particularly on floor 4 north, for their care of Cecil during his last days.
