TOM CROYDON Peacefully, on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the Concordia Hospital, Tom Croydon, beloved husband of the late Joan Croydon passed away at the age of 89 years. Tom was predeceased by his brother Bill Croydon and daughter Evelyn Heise. He will be lovingly remembered by daughters: Dorothy Groom, Edna (Jim) Francis, sons: John Jackson, Bob (Claudette) Jackson, son in law Gerald Heise, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Evelyn Croydon. Tom worked on the family farm, in the mines of Red Lake, served in the home guard, and was employed with the Canadian Pacific Railway as a diesel electrician and retired at the age of 65 years. Tom met and married Joan and they raised their family in St. James and latterly to Windsor Park. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Viewing will be held a half-hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Tom to the charity of one's choice.
