Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryL. RICHARD BARRAGER With deep sorrow we announce the passing of L. Richard Barrager, aged 78 on July 5, 2011 at Health Sciences Centre. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 43 years, Merete. Also left to mourn are his sisters June Rice, and Irene Goodyear along with numerous nephews and a niece. Richard was predeceased by his father Harold, his mother Gertrude, sisters Wilma and Ann, brother Don and nephew Jim Richardson. Richard was born in Kincardine, Ontario on April 11, 1933, moved to Saskatchewan and later Winnipeg where he attended Red River College thanks to a very good friend Doug Toombs. He got a job with Air Canada in 1963 until he retired in 1990. His best job was being retired. Richard met Merete in Copenhagen, Denmark and after a short courtship, she gave in and they were married June 15, 1968 in Denmark. Richard had a passion for travelling and working with his hands, always building something, always with his tape measure in his pocket. At Richard's request, cremation has taken place, and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
