JOHANNA (HANNI) SUPPLIES (LAGE) On Saturday, July 9, 2011, Johanna passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital. Johanna was born in Lingen, Germany in 1920 and moved to Canada with her family in 1953. She was predeceased by her loving husband Herbert on July 9, 2005, whom she missed dearly until her passing. Her memory will live forever in the hearts of her daughter Monica, grandchildren Christine (Luis) and Paul (Lauren), great-grandchildren Sydney and Carson, niece Ruth (Mike), and family in Germany. Johanna will always be remembered as a loving, fun, and generous Oma. She loved to tell stories of the past, celebrate special occasions, be around family and friends, laugh, and travel. Johanna and Herbert traveled together to Hawaii many times and sailed the seas on cruise ships. They enjoyed each other's company and Oma loved listening to the music Opa played on the organ and accordion. Her bright blue eyes would light up the room at the sight of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a strong, independent woman who leaves behind beautiful memories and stories. The family would like to thank the kind and caring staff at Seven Oaks Hospital on Unit 3-11 who cared for her in the last six months. We are grateful for their warmth and compassion. At Johanna's request cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
