MARIE RUNKE (nee MAZ) Marie Runke (nee Maz) of St. Malo, MB, formerly of Winnipeg, MB passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday July 11, 2011 at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, MB at the age of 75. Marie is survived by her husband Alvin Runke of St. Malo; children Cheryl Runke (Bill Forsythe) of Toronto, Kevin Runke (Nadine Gosselin) of Winnipeg, and Greg Runke (Dawn) of Winnipeg; five grandchildren including Natalie and Ingrid Forsythe and Logan, Barrett and Dillon Runke; and sister Pauline Senko of Winnipeg. Marie was predeceased by her mother and father Rosie and Dmetro Maz, and her sister Gladys Stanchuk. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach, MB. Lunch will follow the service. Interment will be at the Overstoneville Independent Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of the Bethesda Hospital and the homecare workers who provided care and comfort to Marie over the last year as well as neighbours and friends for their hospitality and support.
