LINDA JOY SCHROEDER (nee WILSON) It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda Joy Schroeder, on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 in Winnipeg following a six-month battle with cancer. Left to cherish Linda's memory is her mother, Coral Wilson; brother Doug Wilson (Helen); sisters Pat Luders (Len), Les Clampitt (Ted), Barb Rutley (Byron); her Manitoba family, son-in law Jerry Schroeder (Liz); daughter-in-law Wendy Heire (Paul); grandchildren Morgan, Emeryson, Jessica and Kyle, Brian Schroeder (Chan),Martha Reimer (John), Ester Schroeder, Ken Schroeder (Ann), Sharon Mueller (Raymond), John Schroeder (Lise), Henry Schroeder (Kim), Phil Schroeder (Margaret); many nieces and nephews; as well as many wonderful friends who will miss her. She was predeceased by her father, Bill Wilson and her loving husband, Les Schroeder. Linda was born in Camrose, AB August 15, 1951. She attended Camrose Lutheran College and the University of Alberta. She spent 32 happy years teaching in schools in Alberta and Manitoba, ending her career as principal of Steinbach Junior High. Linda lived life to the fullest; enjoying family, hiking, zip-lining, and sports such as skiing and swimming. She was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. A private family Celebration of Linda's Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7 or the charity of your choice.
