ESTHER MARIE WESTIN The family of Esther Marie Westin are saddened to announce her peaceful passing on Monday, July 11, 2011, at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg at the age of 92 years. She was born in Ottston, Jamtland, Sweden on January 16, 1919 arriving in Winnipeg at the age of 8 years. She is survived by her nieces Marion Bowman (Ed) and Myrtle Patterson (Dallas), great nieces Britt Muntain (Doug) and great nephews Tyler and Vince. Kim Mills and great niece Ashley, Jim Bowman (Catherine) and family in Sumter, S.C., Crystal Morrow and family, Carilee Desjardins (Rob) and family, great nephew Wayne Patterson. Also relatives in Sweden, Spain, Germany and Monaco. She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Gunilla, sister and son-in-law Astrid and Hilding Swansen and great-nephew Geoffrey Patterson. She started her working career at Eaton's downtown in the Shoe Dept. and later at UGG until her retirement. She was an avid skier, golfer and curler. Cremation has taken place and there will a graveside service at Chapel Lawn on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 3:00 p.m.. Flowers gratefully declined.
