MARIE FRANCES WOODS June 18, 1934 - July 13, 2011 After a courageous and painful battle Marie passed away with dignity at St. Boniface Hospital with her immediate family by her side. Marie was born at Davidson, SK, one of eight children of Zaccheus Steckler and Eva Klein. She lived at Craik, SK and completed high school in Regina. She was employed as a bookkeeper at a food wholesale in Regina and later at an insurance agency in Calgary. She married Frank in 1955. A stay at home mom, she raised four children and was a devout and deeply caring, loving parent, wife and friend. She will be much loved forever and will be missed by her husband Frank; son David and grandchildren Casey and Matthew; son Mark (Kim Johnson) and grandchildren Jesse, Jamie and Carly; daughter Cindy Bauer (Kelly) and grandchildren Rachelle, Lauren and Alexandra; daughter Donna Kotchon (Wayne) and grandchildren Breanna, Ryan and Jason; brothers Carl (Marina), George (Marj) and sister Hilda Makellky. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Walter and sisters Catherine, Rose Greene and Freda Ward. A memorial service will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church at Winnipeg Beach on Friday, July 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Wayne Morrissey officiating.
