NELLIE SCHMIDT It is with our deepest sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Nellie Schmidt (Kozbutiak). Nellie passed away peacefully on July 15, 2011 at the age of 99 and one half. Nellie was predeceased by her daughter Caroline in 1942, son Dennis in 1992 and her loving husband Bill in 2002. She leaves to mourn her daughter-in-law Judy Schmidt, granddaughter Corinne Schmidt and grandson Jarrett Schmidt. Nellie was born and raised in Fisher Branch and later moved to Winnipeg where she met her husband Bill. Nellie will always be remembered for her amazing cooking. She always made sure that whenever you came to visit you left with a full stomach. She took great pride and enjoyed working in her garden. She was devoted to her church, and never missed her bible studies. She was a wonderful, caring kind, loving woman who always had a smile on her face. Nellie was the best grandmother anyone could have and will be greatly missed by her grandchildren. The family would like to thank Nellie's homecare workers Helen, Sandra and Sherri. At grandmas request a private service will be held. Nellie, may you finally rest in peace and be with those you've lost and remain in the hearts and memories of those who you leave behind.
