Sid was the youngest son of Frank and Sarah Postlethwaite and is predeceased by his nine siblings, Bill (Marjorie), Alice (Frank), Edith (John), Mary (Kelly), Ethel (Raymond), Emily, Jim (Barbara), Frank Ike (Rita), and John. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jean; children Diane (Mike) Price, Rick (Marilyn) Postlethwaite, Steven (Janice) Postlethwaite, Marlene (Joe) Michno, Valerie (Bob) Kinkead and Robert (Lori) Postlethwaite; 16 grandchildren Cammy (Laurie) Price, Mikey (Janeen) Price, Benji Price, Lara (Carman) Malcolm, Shaun Postlethwaite, Darcy Postlethwaite, Brett Postlethwaite, Tyler Postlethwaite, Jordan Postlethwaite, Terrel Postlethwaite, Leigh Michno, Jay Michno, Lacey Kinkead, Sydney Kinkead, Lexa Postlethwaite and Eric Postlethwaite; five great-grandchildren Seanna Price, Addison Price, Stathen Stuart, Declan Stuart and Bentyn Malcolm; his sister Dorothy Patterson along with many nieces and nephews. Sid was born in Bottrell, AB on September 22, 1931 and married Jean (Statham) on October 16, 1954. Sid worked for many years in the Alberta gas plants yet always yearned to own his own farm. They moved to Manitoba with their four children, lived in Eriksdale for nine years where the two youngest were born. Sid worked construction for approximately six years throughout the province. In 1971 they moved to Ashern and started a dairy farm. In 1983 they opened Jean's Highway #6 Restaurant which they owned and operated until 2003. Dad retired from farming in 1994 passing the reigns to his son Steven. In his retirement, Dad always enjoyed working in the yard planting flowers, tending to his garden and could sometimes be found supervising the farm. He also loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his grandchildren.
