He was subsequently a police officer with the St. Boniface Police, before returning to Notre Dame to own and operate a feed plant. He later returned to Winnipeg, and established himself as a real estate broker until his retirement. Hubert married Olive in 1958, and they raised their family in both Notre Dame and St. Boniface. The family would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to the W.F.P.S. and ambulance teams, and the emergency medical staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for their dedication and valiant efforts. In keeping with Hubert's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial mass celebrating his life will be held on Friday, July 22 at 10:30 a.m. at Précieux-Sang Church, 200 Kenny St. with prayers one half hour prior to the service.
