HARRY PASTUCK Peacefully on Saturday, July 16, 2011, Harry Pastuck passed away at Holy Family Nursing Home, Winnipeg. Survived by his two sons Norman and wife Jackie; Richard and wife Karen. Grandchildren Tracey (Darrell) Hoborough and their daughters, Madison and Taylor Hoborough; Michael Pastuck and partner Michelle; Christopher (Catherine) Pastuck. There are also many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Nick and Anna Pastuck, his sisters Maria Harasym, Nellie Guzda, Teenie Smikles, his brothers Peter, John, Anthony, Mike, Bill and Jim (Dymytro) Pastuck. Harry was born May 21, 1921, in the town of Silver, Manitoba. He moved to Winnipeg in the early 1940s where he met and married Rose Malinowski in 1944. Dad was employed at C.P.R. until his retirement in 1981. At this point, he became an avid gardener. He enjoyed going to weddings, parties and dances. When he would go to a wedding, his favourite sayings were, is this all there is to eat? and pour me two fingers of rum. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street Winnipeg. He will be interred at Rembrandt Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery. Rev. John Melnyk will officiate. Pallbearers are nephews Harry Janciw, Nick Janciw, Larry Smikles, Wayne Smikles, Roman Lazarenko and grandson Michael Pastuck. We would like to thank the nurses at the Holy Family Residents on the 5th floor who took very good care of him in his latter years. Also a big thank-you to Emily and Corney Reimer who visited him and involved him in the social activities at the Holy Family Residents. We would also like to thank the Dr.s and nurses at Holy Family Nursing Home who were involved in the final days of his care. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home in care of arrangements
