RAINER WAGNER It is with great sadness that the family of Rainer Wagner announces his passing, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, July 18, 2011 at the age of 64 years. Born in Bremen, Germany, Rainer immigrated to Canada at the age of seven in 1953. Rainer will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend of 43 years, Gladys Rose Wagner (nee Willis) and his children Clayton (Heather), and Neal. Rainer will also be sadly missed by his two grandsons, Carson and Jace; brother Bernie (Elaine) of Selkirk, MB; sisters, Karin Shaw of Winnipeg and Angelika (Leo) Zabor of Lorette, MB; his mother Mally Wagner of Winnipeg, MB; sister-in-law Peggy (Jim) Young of Winnipeg, MB; brothers-in-law, Lindsay of Winnipeg, MB and Larry of Kamloops, BC; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Rainer was predeceased by his father Adolf; father-in-law Raymond Willis, and mother-in-law, Anne Willis. A special thank you to Dr. James Bell of St. Albert and the staff at the Grey Nuns Palliative Care Unit for their compassionate care to Rainer and his family.
