KATHERINE (KAY) HALLES (nee YASCHUK) November 4, 1915 June 1, 2011 Kay passed away peacefully at Seven Oaks Hospital with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter, in 1985 and will be sadly missed by daughters Linda and Jan (Bob), grandchildren Kelly (Larry), Kimberly (Jeff), Michael (Christine), Kathy (Mark) and great-grandchildren Courtney, Matthew, Lauren, Mitchell and Alexandria as well as brother John (Bernice), her best friend Cindy and other close friends. Mom was a very independent and talented person and no challenge was too great for her. She enjoyed spending time with her family whether it was get-togethers for birthdays, holidays or just playing cards, games, doing puzzles or days at the beach with the grand-children. Mom also enjoyed Bingo at Winnipeg Beach and at the Casino where she met many new friends. According to Mom's wishes a private gathering to celebrate her life was held.
