GAYLENE HEATHER BETKER (nee JANSEN) January 26, 1954 - July 20, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Nanny and friend Gay, on July 20, 2011 at home in her sleep with her beloved dogs by her side. Gay is survived by her children Chad (Cathy), Brad (Cara), Gaylynn (Sheldon) and Amber, and her beautiful grandchildren Hailey, Madison and Bennett. Gay also leaves behind three dogs that she loved like her children, Mercy, Peeka and Zoey. Gay was a kind hearted, loving person who always had a special place in her heart for children and animals; Gay was everyone's Nanny. Gay spent her entire life trying to help others. Gay loved to swim, fish, paint and draw. Gay loved the simple things in life that could always be found at the lake. Gay will be sadly missed and always remembered by everyone whose life she touched. Please join the family in a celebration of Nanny's life at the Fort Garry Curling Club, 696 Archibald St. on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to The Winnipeg Humane Society for it is what my Mom would have wanted. 586-8044
