MARY MARTHA BOS (nee MACPHERSON) Peacefully on July 21, 2011 Mum broke the chains of Alzheimer's and passed on to her new life. Predeceased by her daughter Chrystal, Mum leaves to mourn her passing her beloved husband Wolter, daughters Marsha Kehler, Karen Springett (Rob), her son Jan Bos, 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Born to Scottish parents in Brooklyn, New York on August 9, 1924 Mum was raised in Glasgow, Scotland and in her early married life immigrated to Australia with her two young daughters. After a few years there Mum met and married her Wally, the love of her life, and they returned to Scotland and added two more children to the family. In 1965 the family immigrated to Canada and made Winnipeg their new home. Mum worked as a cashier in Gambles and then in the cash office in Woolco. Her final job before retirement was as a bank teller at C.I.B.C. Her favourite times were spent at the cottage at Brereton Lake where she spent many days fishing with Dad and enjoying her time with their dog. A celebration of Mum's life will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, July 25 in the Chapel at the Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley Avenue. Cremation has taken place. Hold Thou Thy cross before my closing eyes; Shine through the gloom and point me to the skies. Heaven's morning breaks, and earth's vain shadows flee; In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me.
