Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAOLO SALVATORE CANNIZZARO January 1, 1932 - July 20, 2011 After a lengthy illness, Paolo Cannizzaro passed away at the St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 79 years. Paolo is predeceased by his mother Maria Soccorsa, father Vincenzo and granddaughter Josephine. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Teresa of 62 years, along with their children Vincent (Shelley), Maria (Romeo), Cathy (Dino), Maryann (Derek), Domenica (Vito), Mike, Joey (Brandi), Nick (Teri); 20 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; brothers Tony (Rosina), Joe (Maria); sister Teresa (Vince)Farina as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Paolo immigrated to Canada in 1958 from Monterosso, Italy. He worked for Shore Glass and then the City of Winnipeg until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family cooking meals and gardening. We will miss Dad's kindness and stubborn ways, but most of all his humour, which he kept until the end. He was always making people laugh. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave., with viewing held one hour prior to the Mass. Reverend Father Sam Argenziano celebrant. Entombment in Holy Angel Mausoleum Green Acres Cemetery, Hwy No.1 and Navin Road. Pall bearers will be Raymond Musto, Paul Cannizzaro, Mike Sossai, Dino Musto, Andrew Cannizzaro, Roman Macario, and Vince Cannizzaro. We would like to thank all of the home care staff and the staff at the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare, 675 McDermot Ave. Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. WE LOVE YOU AND WE KNOW THAT YOU ARE FINALLY AT PEACE.
